Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know what sessions I will attend?
Your session time with DiFit will be agreed with you and scheduled when you commence. If you would like to change your sessions at any time you can simply discuss it with DiFit and agree new session times and frequencies.
Can I place my membership on hold ?
Yes you can. Officially I require two weeks notice , however, if you have specific circumstances where this is challenging then let’s have a chat and we can work it out.
What if I need to miss a session, can I make it up later?
Possibly, depending on how much notice you provided and what sessions are available. Please have a chat with me and subject to the availability of a suitable session I’ll book you in under a best endeavours basis.
How does billing work for DiFit?
All sessions are billed in advance for the upcoming fortnight of training. We will have agreed whether you are doing one, two, or three sessions per week when you started and you will be billed accordingly.
What payment methods do you support?
DiFit supports payments via common credit cards and direct debit. There are no payment processing fees for direct debit transactions (DiFit covers this cost), however payments by credit cards incur a 1.95% payment processing fee. Payment via EFT transfer (that you setup and manage from your own internet banking) is also supported.
Unlike a lot of fitness providers, I dont require automated payments, but if you choose to pay manually I ask that you do so on time so that I don’t need to follow you up ;-).
Why “Scheduled” as opposed to “Adhoc” or “Unlimited” sessions
I’ve experimented with a range of different training options and I have found that when sessions are scheduled (preferably at the same time and with the same people each week) that the results are simply better; your commitment to yourself, to me and to your training partners means that you will be more likely to stay committed to your fitness. The goal is to make ongoing regular fitness a lifestyle habit, and scheduled sessions provide for the best chance of this to happen.
Equally as important, scheduled sessions allow me to plan and tailor your workout needs, through planning exercise variations or whole programs to suit your specific requirements.
Why Strength and Conditioning Training?
Research shows that resistance training 2-3 times per week can lead to significant improvements in strength, muscle mass, bone density, and overall health. It allows for adequate recovery between sessions while providing enough stimulus to promote adaptations in the body. Consistency and proper technique are however key for optimal results, and that is where Small Group Training with a caring trainer comes into it..
Do you intend to open up gym for unsupervised access when classes aren’t on?
Yes this is something that I would like to do, however, at this time we need to find a suitable insurance provider, many of which require panic alarms and out-of-hours emergency response teams. I intend to continue to investigate this.
